This course treats the registry as the naming and lifecycle authority for a Kubernetes native organisation running fifty or more services. You will build an honest inventory, design a tagging scheme that survives a year, work through the mutable tag problem and what immutable tags and digests cost in practice, decide between rebuilding and repointing at promotion, scope push and pull so a single credential cannot reach the whole estate, write retention that a registry applies without human review, plan for the ways garbage collection fails, design mirrors without inheriting a shadowing risk, place scanning where the evidence is durable, and measure registry age, orphan rate and promotion latency. Every recommendation is written to work as a default or a policy, because a platform team of three cannot review what fifty teams push.
