This course treats the move as an engineering project with a history problem. It covers inventorying and extracting the outgoing tool's state while you still have access, mapping identity between two products that disagree about what a finding is, carrying suppressions without laundering them, running both engines in parallel with stated exit criteria, decomposing the inevitable spike of findings that are newly detected rather than newly introduced, cutover criteria and a rollback position that is real, and the evidence package that keeps a control from appearing to lapse across the boundary. It is written to be equally useful whichever direction you are moving, including away from Safeguard.
