The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) Directions of April 2022, issued under Section 70B(6) of the Information Technology Act 2000, bundle five obligations that are largely engineering problems in disguise: six hour reporting of specified incidents, clock synchronisation to National Informatics Centre (NIC) or National Physical Laboratory (NPL) servers, 180 day log retention within Indian jurisdiction, five year subscriber and know your customer retention for data centres, virtual private server, cloud and virtual asset providers, and a point of contact duty. This course teaches the legal shape of each obligation, the engineering reality behind it, and how Safeguard scanning, runtime telemetry and evidence automation support every duty.

The Safeguard Certified Practitioner credential is valid for 24 months from issue. The expiry date is printed on the certificate and shown live on its public verification page. Renewing means passing the current exam again.
