Awarded for completing Software Composition Analysis Fundamentals and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to explain the inventory, match, and surface SCA workflow independent of any single ecosystem, distinguish direct from transitive dependencies, reason about the version resolution problem, recognise the two SCA-specific false positive and false negative sources, relate SCA output to a Software Bill of Materials in both directions, integrate SCA into a build pipeline, and state honestly what SCA does not detect.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
