Awarded for completing Software Bills of Materials for Firmware and Embedded Systems and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to generate a firmware inventory from a build, grade confidence in entries recovered from an artefact, give components without a registry a stable identity, model a product line served by one image, assemble supplier documents into a product level view, and sustain the result across a long support period.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
