Awarded for completing Minimal and Distroless Images: What You Gain and What Breaks and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to place an image on the content spectrum deliberately, anticipate and test the breakages a minimal image causes, build one with a sound multi stage pipeline, operate and debug it without shell access, and judge where minimal images are the wrong answer.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
