Awarded for completing Guardrails in the Editor: Catching It Before the Pull Request and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to decide whether a given check belongs in the editor, the pull request or the pipeline, hold a check inside a latency budget a developer will tolerate, run secret and dependency checks at the moment the decision is made rather than at merge, reason about the precision a local check needs before it is worth enabling, design the message and the blocking behaviour a developer sees, roll a configuration out across machines the organisation does not control, and state the limits of local checking honestly.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
