Awarded for completing Burning Down a Security Backlog That Nobody Believes In and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to diagnose the mechanisms that produced an unbelieved queue; to census a backlog by class and cost each class in engineer hours; to choose between fixing, fixing the class, accepting with an expiry and retiring the rule, with documented evidence for each; to negotiate an amnesty with conditions and a credible recurrence mechanism; to sequence the work so early relief is visible to engineering; to build ownership that survives reorganisation; to close findings in bulk with a record an independent reviewer can reconstruct; and to judge when a backlog is unrecoverable and execute a disclosed reset.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
