Awarded for completing Binary Analysis When You Do Not Have the Source and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to scope and authorise analysis of an artefact, extract and inventory a firmware image, identify statically linked components, read a version inference result with the scepticism it requires, grade and record confidence, match advisories without a confident version, and judge when to stop analysing and demand a bill of materials from a supplier.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
