Awarded for completing Base Image Lifecycle: Choosing, Pinning, Patching, Retiring and passing its exam, demonstrating the ability to select base images on durable criteria, design a pinning and automated rebuild policy, run a retirement across unwilling teams, judge whether to operate an internal base image, and measure base image age across a container estate.
Certificates are designed to be checked, not just displayed.
The credential is valid for 12 months from issue. Its public page states the expiry date, and renewing means passing the current exam again — so the credential always reflects the current material.
